Reality Fair Overview + Marketing Kit
What It Is
A Reality Fair is a hands-on simulation that bridges classroom concepts with real-world money management. Equipped with a unique financial persona that includes a set salary and FICO® Score, participants navigate interactive booths to budget, pay bills, save, and make tough money decisions.
As part of the Reality Fair, each order comes with:
- Printed Facilitator Guide: Includes instructions for running the fair.
- Student Workbooks: Available in English and Spanish.
- Booth Captain Sheets: Instructions for individuals running each booth (available in English and Spanish).
- Life Happens Card Sheet: A set of cards featuring positive and negative life events (e.g., car repairs, safe driving rebates) used at the Life Happens booth.
- Tabletop Booth Name Signs: Customized signs featuring your logo.
Online, you'll also find a downloadable supplement with things like checklists, sample emails, etc., and a sign teachers can put around their school or community partner's institution that advertises the fair. All of the other materials will also be available to download online in case anyone wants to print more copies of anything.
How to Order
The Educator: Teachers order the Reality Fair the same way they order the workbooks, through a request form in their dashboard.
Banzai Partners: You can also order the fair as a Banzai partner by putting in a request to your Banzai representative.
Hosting the Fair
There are two ways to run a Reality Fair, depending on where and who you're serving.
Option 1: Student-Centered (at a sponsored school)
While Banzai will actively market this exciting new resource to educators, we strongly encourage you to reach out as well! A simple email offering to host or co-host a Reality Fair at a local school goes a long way with teachers.
Once a teacher agrees, you can order resources in two ways:
- Teacher-Led: Invite them to request print materials through their Banzai Account via the 'workbook' tab. Once ordered, the materials will ship directly to the educator's school, with your logo prominently featured on key printed fair assets.
- Partner-Led: Contact your Banzai Representative to have the materials delivered directly to your address on file.
Option 2: Community-Centered (at your institution)
The Reality Fair doesn't have to be used explicitly for schools and students. You can also host a community reality fair for youth in your own institution. Just order the materials through your Banzai representative and set everything up that way.
Fair Printables
You have access to all of the materials that a teacher can print as well—either through ordering physical copies via your Banzai Representative and having them sent straight to your branch, or through downloading them yourself here and printing in house.
