Download Presentation (with Notes)How to Open and Present
Once you've clicked the download button above, teacher-presentation-with-notes.pptx will save to your Downloads folder. Open it in whichever tool your team already uses—the file works natively in PowerPoint and imports cleanly into Google Slides.
In PowerPoint (Windows or Mac)
- Open the file. Double-click the downloaded .pptx to open it in PowerPoint. If PowerPoint prompts you to enable editing, click Enable Editing in the top banner.
- Review the speaker notes. Speaker notes appear in the Notes pane below each slide. If you don't see the notes pane, go to View → Notes to show it. Toggle View → Notes Page for a printable notes-and-slide layout.
- Customize before presenting (optional). Swap in your institution's logo on the title slide, update any placeholder contact info, and adjust example scenarios to reflect your community.
- Present. Start the slideshow with F5 (Windows) or ⌘ + Shift + Enter (Mac). Use Presenter View to see your speaker notes and the next slide side-by-side—enable it under Slide Show → Use Presenter View.
In Google Slides
- Upload to Google Drive. Open Google Drive, then drag
teacher-presentation-with-notes.pptxinto the Drive window (or click New → File upload and select it). - Open with Google Slides. Right-click the uploaded file in Drive → Open with → Google Slides. Google Slides will convert the file automatically. Save a permanent Google Slides copy by going to File → Save as Google Slides.
- Review the speaker notes. Notes appear in the pane below the slide canvas. If you don't see it, drag up on the pane divider or go to View → Show speaker notes.
- Customize before presenting (optional). Update any placeholder logos, contact info, and community-specific examples.
- Present. Click Slideshow in the top-right. To see speaker notes while presenting, click the arrow next to Slideshow → Presenter view—this shows your notes and the next slide on your screen while the audience sees only the current slide.
A Note on Converted Formatting
When importing a PowerPoint file into Google Slides, some fonts, animations, or transitions may render slightly differently after conversion. Preview each slide in Google Slides before your presentation and adjust any layout issues you spot. If exact visual fidelity matters, present from PowerPoint directly.
